The homestay sits in a quiet village close to Chandrabadni Temple, one of the important Shakti Peethas of Uttarakhand. Srinagar (Garhwal) is about 15–20 minutes away, which means you get the calm of the hills without being too far from a proper town.
From here, Tehri Lake is roughly an hour’s drive — close enough for a day trip, far enough that you won’t hear speedboats from your bed. Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet to form the Ganga, is also reachable within an hour. Both are worth your time.
The house is run by a local family. Meals use ingredients from nearby — the dal, saag, and rice are what people actually eat here, not a tourist version of it. Mornings are cold and quiet. Evenings, you’ll hear more birds than vehicles.
Good fit for: solo travelers, couples, small groups who want to slow down. Not the right place if you need fast WiFi for work calls or want a hotel-style setup.

Clean rooms, fantastic food, and a very warm host. Thank you for the memories!
Quiet and clean. The food was good but a bit spicy for my taste.
Beautiful area, but the property itself needs a lot of maintenance.
Perfect getaway from the city noise. I felt very connected to nature here.
The views from the balcony are to die for. Exceptional service.
It was an okay experience. The bed was a bit hard for my liking but the view is nice. Thanks!
